Visiting Nancy Coffelt at her studio in a historic building in
downtown Baker City. High ceilings and
natural light make for a great space for Nancy to create her colorful
paintings. She has a background in
writing and illustrating children’s books, and has worked in a variety of
mediums. Some of her Papier Mache sculptures can be seen around town, including
City Hall. Currently Nancy is creating
acrylic gouache paintings mainly of animals with a whimsical bent. She does many commissions and memorial
pieces. You can find her work at
Peterson’s, Crossroads-Carnegie Art Center, and Royal Artisan in Baker City,
and via her website: https://www.yessy.com/nancycoffelt/gallery.html
