Planning ahead for 2020 Tour - info for Artists

Hello Baker County artists!
If you’re thinking about joining the 2020 OPEN STUDIOS TOUR…here’s some information:
As of March 31, 2020, we are planning ahead for the tour, with the understanding that we may need to cancel the event or alter the format depending on circumstances with public health.
Dates: October 3 & 4, 2020.  Saturday 10:00 am – 4:00 pm, Sunday 10:00 am-4:00 pm.
Being open the full hours both days is best for visitors based on feedback.  Shorter hours or one day only is possible, but both days and full hours is best.
What you do at your studio is entirely up to you …we provide the marketing, a tour guide and map, and a sign.  Demonstrations, display, talk, giveaways, snacks, sales or no sales is entirely up to you.
Sometimes artists are not able to show in their work spaces due to accessibility issues, or if a home studio, concerns from others in their household.  There is an option for us to set up a space for you to do a display and demonstration at Crossroads Carnegie Art Center, or sharing another artist’s studio space.  Please write back if you’d like more information about these options. For showing at Crossroads-Carnegie, contact Crystal Rainwater at Crystal@crossroads-arts.org as soon as possible to make arrangements.
We need a commitment by JULY 10, 2020 this year.  You can reply bakercityopenstudios@gmail.com, or to Brian Vegter who will be drafting the tour guide listing.  Contact for Brian is dogbri@icloud.com
By July 10, we will need the following:
-Your name and e-mail (for tour organization purposes)
-Information for the guide:
Studio name and artist name
Address
Contact information (your preference, but we can include e-mail, phone, hard mail, website, Facebook or other social media in the listing)
Description of your media: (such as: oil paintings, paintings and drawings, ceramic sculptures….)
-A good quality JPG image of your work that will work in a small format.
-Hours/days if different from the standard.
Any special instructions visitors might need to find your studio. (such as behind the barn and up the stairs, that sort of thing…)
-$25.00 participation fee (if by check, please make out to Baker Art Guild) If you are mailing it should be sent to Baker Art Guild PO Box 342 Baker City, OR 97814 or it can be dropped off in person if you schedule in advance with Brian at Churchill School.
Art Guild will deliver a sign to you a day or two before the tour.

The $25.00 fee is combined with other funding through grants, donations, and sponsors to cover the costs of the tour and marketing.

Extra info:
If you have problems getting a usable image, please let us know as soon as possible and we will send someone to take a picture of your work.
The tour can use your help in sharing social media posts, notifying your mailing lists, and sending this note on to any artists you know who may have recently joined our community.
Volunteers can also help with the outreach efforts at Farmer’s Markets and Boise Art in the Park, and distribution of posters around Eastern Oregon.  Let us know if you are able to help, and we will get you more information.
Hope you can join the tour this year…here are some links and contacts for more information:
